I enjoyed your macro tutorial. I use flash and extension tubes to take flower and insect macros and set the camera to underexpose the phot0 by 1 to 2 stops. It allows me to hand hold the camera and the pictures really pop. I also set the camera to manual focus when I get really close. Shadows can be an issue using my method.

I have a Nikon D80 after having 3 fuji camera’s…if your thinking of buying a DSLR start with the Nikon D80 its the soooo good ! 1o/10

Interesting article. For years now I’ve carried a tripod in the boot of my car and if I’ve spotted a great view grabbed it and taken a couple of shots.
